Why a Lutheran School?

The Lutheran Church of Australia has a rich history in education. Since the first Lutheran school opened in 1839, Lutheran schools have grown considerably and reflect the church’s commitment to serving its members and the broader Australian community.

Today, more than 38,000 students receive their education in over 85 Lutheran schools and 51 early childhood centres throughout Australia.

Enrolments in Australian Lutheran schools have grown by ten per cent over the past three years and are part of a global network of Lutheran education covering Northern Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia.

Prince of Peace is part of an active network of Lutheran Schools who work in support of each other under the umbrella and guidance of Lutheran Education Australia and Lutheran Education Queensland.

Lutheran schools offer quality teaching and learning experiences for each child to reflect his or her uniqueness. They are also a community where caring and respectful relationships are developed and become the essential element binding the school community together to live out the school’s ethos and values.

My four children (two graduated) have all have absolutely learnt so much at their time at Prince of Peace, not just in the academic sense but life lessons and most importantly GRACE and FORGIVENESS. — Mrs P

As part of the Lutheran school system, Prince of Peace is making a difference by respecting the past, operating in the present and looking boldly to the future.
